The Drowned World

An adaptation of the 1962 climate fiction novel by J.G. Ballard.
Set in a post apocalyptic world where the icecaps have melted
and the world is now submerged, apart from a few cities. Due
to solar radiation most of the world is now uninhabitable by
the human race, who have now vacated to the arctic. Cities
are now overrun with tropical flora and fauna, and populated
by reptiles who are getting bigger and stronger. It is as if the
world has gone full circle, back to the Triassic period in this
new-prehistoric landscape.
Adapting this story to be a feature film streaming on Amazon
Prime, the aim is to spread awareness for climate change with
this fictional imagining of Venice’s future.
